My perfect date would be on The Island finding myself Lost in Translation with Scarlet. Nothing like going North with a Good Woman like her. She has all The Prestige a man could want and she certainly would be, for me, The Perfect Score.

...which she probably would have won for Volver, haven't been Helen Mirren around. Actually can ANYONE resist having Bardem - last year's supporting actor winner - handing out Cruz - his girlfriend - this year's Oscar? A moment for Oscar history. I normally dislike her acting but I have to acknowledge that she has improved a lot and in Volver she proved how great she can be.
What would I do without my annual Woody Allen fix?

Can't we transplant his brain into Brett Ratner's body or something?

Love your reviews Capone but just wanted to say that I don't think Rebecca Hall is the classic neurotic Allen heroine, in that thats evident in her personality, but I'm sure she makes it seem so in this movie because she's quite talented. I love watching her, so far only in small roles in the Prestige and Starter for 10. Can't wait to see what she does next.

"Match Point" was ok, "Scoop" pretty bad, and "Cassandra's Dream" was horrible in any number of ways. I have high hopes for this anyway, despite myself..
